First Palapa under construction.

Imagine waking up in your own tropical palapa overlooking the largest bay in Mexico. As you watch the dawn break and the light change over this great body of water teeming with marine life, the only sounds you will hear are the lap of the ocean, the rustle of palm fronds in the breeze and the dawn chorus of jungle birds behind you. Out in the bay a giant manta ray jumps and a pod of dolphins cruise by. You could easily believe that you are the only person in the world yet you have the security of knowing that you have the best of both worlds.
The ambient warmth of the tropics causes the distinctions between indoors and outdoors to evaporate, along with the walls that divide them. Houses expand into the landscape, while the sights, sounds, and scents of nature waft through living spaces. Indeed, one of the pleasures of living in the tropics is an awakening of the senses that brings us closer to nature.
Our palapas are built into the surrounding jungle in such a way that they blend with the trees, each of which has a name as exotic as itself; Cuate, Caoba, Papalillo, Parota.
You can enjoy a sense of personal privacy combined with the "extras" that only a resort can provide such as a staff of trained professionals who will keep the area secure and provide the services which make a vacation enjoyable.

At Maraña Cove we intentionally keep all technology to a minimum. There are no telephones (a cellular phone for emergency use) no electricity, no roads which can be driven. Here is the perfect escape from the modern world.
Transportation is by water or the network of trails which wind throughout the jungle and may be hiked or ridden by our surefooted mules. Despite the feeling of isolation the bustling resort of Puerto Vallarta and it's international airport are only an hour away by water.
